It may be hard to get started and to get an agreement on the baseline rules. We help you address the issues, set the rules, make sure they are fair and reasonable for your situation and establish the consequences. We are there to support you all the way through and make sure everyone’s opinion is valued.
As children grow they become more independent and we need a more committed approach. Maybe they haven’t developed the skills to manage the emotions and boundaries and our joining approach ensures that they learn and you get the respect back in the house and beyond.
Consequences are hard to implement and take time for results but it is the most efficient and successful way to deal with issues. It’s not about upping the ante or making punishments hurt. It’s about setting appropriate and fair rules and consistently applying them and the discipline behind them. Consequences must have an ability to teach the child or teenager and should be time or action orientated.
Together our job is to make sure your child is a happy and successful person, there are going to be some hard times along the way.
The Commando approach is sometimes an extension to your parenting already or a whole new approach. We help by establishing the rules and supporting you through the implementation and consequences and as Parenting Commandos, we stay with you until the job is done.
